Join us for the Derby Lantern Parade! Lanterns of all shapes and sizes will illuminate a path through Derby city centre, spreading joy as we celebrate being out of lockdown.

Everyone  who has been involved in the lantern making workshops will be invited to gather at the Spot (St.Peter's Street, Derbion outside Poundland) at 4pm,  to start the lantern parade which will be led by the mighty Dhol drummers, followed by hundreds of people and school children holding colourful lanterns, Piplis and Ukranian carolling sticks.

The Lantern Parade will move down St Peter's Street and the Cornmarket, through the Market Place and onto the steps of the Council House in Corporation Street at around 5.30pm.

Final parade route and joining instructions will be revealed soon - continue to check our website.  Also please join our mailling list below to be one of the first to find out the final details.
