Artist: Janan Sathiendran
Janan Sathiendran is a tabla player and student of Shri Sukhdeep Singh Dhanjal and Pandit Yogesh Samsi. Born and raised in London, trained since childhood in both Hindustani and Carnatic classical traditions, and raised in a home surrounded by a wide range of musical influences, he developed a deep and adaptable artistic instinct from an early age. Consequently, he is a versatile performer, capable of working fluently in a number of roles across genres — from accompanying Indian classical music and dance to performing Qawwali, collaborating with Western classical orchestras, and working with contemporary and urban music — a breadth that has taken him across the world, sharing stages with renowned artists, including Abi Sampa, Nitin Sawhney and A.R. Rahman. Along with his career in music, Janan is a doctor working in the NHS, drawing on the discipline and empathy of both fields to inform his practice.

Artist: Akash Parekar
Akash started playing and learning the Sitar at the late age of 18 and is now part of the new generation of exciting British-born sitar players. His musical upbringing was initially in western classical and contemporary western music which adds to his innovative playing style. From the tender age of 5, Akash was performing on stage and has since flourished as a creative musician.
Akash is the disciple of the world renowned Sitarist Roopa Panesar. Akash has also received guidance from many great musicians such as ustad Dharambir Singh (MBE), Ustad Harjinderpal Singh (disciple of Pandit Shivkumar Sharma) and, Ustad Irshad Khan (Disciple and son of Ustad Imrat Khan and nephew of Ustad Vilayat Khan).
Akash has worked on a number of collaborative projects such as, Peguins risisng with Zak Starkey (The Who and Oasis), Mayur Navekar (Bandish Projekt) and Michael Tedstone (Manike Music) to name a few. Akash has also played at some very prestigious venues such as the Royal Albert Hall with the Philharmonic Orchestra and De Montfort hall , Glastonbury Festival, Birmingham Symphony Hall and many more.
Currently Akash performs in the UK and internationally and is now working on his debut album.
