Derby Season of Light (DSOL) returns for 2025!  Between October and December we're celebrating Derby's dazzling diversity and creativity.  Bringing communities and cultures together - embracing various festivals including Diwali, Rabi’ Al-Awwal, Hanukkah, Bonfire Night, Christmas, and the upcoming Chinese New Year which all share the common theme of 'light'. This is a family friendly festival spearheaded by Surtal Arts. Along with our partners DSOL we'll host a series of inspiring arts activities and events across Derby and Derbyshire shining a spotlight on the universal theme of ‘Light’ and ‘Peace & Friendship’.  Our flagship event Derby Lantern Parade will lights up the city centre on 27 November with hundreds of community and professional commissioned giant lanterns, with cultural dance and music performances adding to the visual spectacle.  Put this date in your diary!
