About the Event
Surtal Community Choir returns to Market Place Derby to perform at Derby's annual Remembrance Sunday commemoration service to remember all those brave soldiers around the world who sacrified their lives in both the World Wars for our freedom. We particularly remember the 2.8 million South Asian soldiers who served and sacrificed their lives fighting for the British Empire during these wars.
We also remember those who lost and continues to loose lives in all the current Ukrainian, Iran-US and Israel & Gaza confilcts. The choir will sing iconic patriotic songs in South Asian languages. The powerful melodies and heartfelt lyrics are dedicated to our fallen heroes.ent details are coming soon!
